Summary
Kill the gauges for the yETH/ETH pool
Abstract
A security incident involving yETH has created a risk for liquidity providers in the Curve yETH/ETH pool. Killing pool gauges will stop CRV emissions going to the respective pools. It is done by calling set_killed() to the gauge contract and otherwise the pools are unaffected.

Yearn’s yETH was recently exploited. Since the Curve yETH pool contains the compromised asset, it is no longer appropriate for the DAO to incentivize deposits with CRV emissions.
Killing the gauge:
- prevents new users from being drawn into a compromised pool,
- aligns with prior DAO actions where compromised assets required gauge deactivation.
Specification
Kill the following gauges:
yETH/ETH:
- Gauge:
0x138cC21D15b7A06F929Fc6CFC88d2b830796F4f1 - Pool: yETH/ETH
0x69accb968b19a53790f43e57558f5e443a91af22
No other actions are included. The gauges will cease emitting CRV, and the pool will no longer receive incentives.
